Mary Anne Oribhabor, a Corporate Clinical Nurse Educator for Mental Health & Addictions with William Osler Health System, will lead this interactive session to discuss the following topics:
The Speaker Mary Anne Oribhabor MHS, BScN, RN, CPMHN (c) is a corporate clinical educator at William Osler Health System. Graduating from Lakehead University 1997, she pursued a career specializing in mental health and addictions, working as a front line nurse for 10 years and a Resource Nurse for 8 years until assuming her current role as a corporate clinical educator.
Mary Anne completed her Masters in Health Studies from Athabasca University in 2017. In 2018, she took on a part time role as a Professor at Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning in the School of Social & Community Services, teaching in the Developmental Services Worker program. In 2020, she took on another part time role as a Professor at Sheridan College in the Faculty of Applied Health and Community Services, teaching in the Registered Practical Nurse and Personal Support Worker programs.
She has presented to volunteer associations on mental health and addictions as well as provided one day seminars on mental health and addictions to community agencies. In 2019, Mary Anne presented for the RNAO (Registered Nurses Association of Ontario) on the topic “Psychosis in Long Term Care and Mood Disorders in Long Term Care”. She is also a MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behaviour) trainer within Osler. One of her most recent accomplishments is being a guest lecturer for Janssen Inc. within the Neuroscience program, “Horizons: Dealing with Major Depressive Disorder”.
